2022 in Review

"Why did you get into this line of work?" That’s been a common question asked of me over the past decade. I guess my answer is rather simple; I started Worthwhile Wear because everyone deserves to be treated with dignity. In essence, when you truly see another person, you should see a reflection of your own value. This core belief is what has made us successful; everyone is worthwhile.

Now as we wrap up our 10th year, we ask for your support. Equip us to help more women in the years to come find their true worth and restore the dignity that they deserve.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays,

Dan Emr, Executive Director

HIGHLIGHTS FROM 2022

MELENY'S HOUSE OPENS

After a 7 month renovation, we were excited to have one of our participants officially move from The Well into one of the apartments at Meleny's House. These apartments will offer women in the leadership phase more autonomy & independence.

WORTH IT PROGRAM

Our community empowerment program impacted women across the state including a satellite location in Harrisburg, PA and a re-launch of the program at Bucks Co. prison.

GRAND OPENING OF WORTHWHILE THRIFT IN COLLEGEVILLE

In June, we opened a 26,000sq/ft thrift store in Montgomery County. Each day, as we interact with customers and donors, we get to share about Worthwhile Wear's mission to reach and serve survivors of human trafficking.

Worthwhile Thrift stores provide additional funding for our programs and also offer vocational training & employment for women participating in The Well program.

RAISE AWARENESS

Each year we invite the community to join us in our efforts because we know that this work is not accomplished alone.

In spring, our national "Act Challenge" event encouraged supporters to walk, run, bike, or row and record their miles. Then, our generous sponsors made a donation for each mile logged.

After a 2 year hiatus of our in-person fall fundraiser, over 300 individuals joined us at our gala in Phoenixville, PA. It was a powerful event and a great way to celebrate 10 years!

HOW YOUR GIFTS ARE BEING USED

The most common thing we hear from Worthwhile Wear's graduates is, "This program saved my life." Know that when you give, your gifts are accomplishing the ultimate objective; saving lives. Give today knowing that your support is making a lasting difference in the life of a survivor.
